Infill Walling

That suits all primary structure types and external finishes

An introduction to infill walling

The most widely utilised application for CFS is infill walling. Our fully designed and complex system is constructed from the floor to the soffit of the primary frame to ‘infill’ the external wall, providing a support system for various external façade / cladding types. All our studs come pre pierced with a 50mm slot to allow for deflection.

Flexible and Cost-effective

Our infill walling system provides support to all types of external finishes creating a weather-tight envelope at early stages of the construction programme, this helps to reduce the overall build timescales.

The infill system is designed and detailed to work in conjunction with the primary structure in order to ensure works meet the client’s requirements for fire, acoustics and thermal performance.

Our system provides both flexible and cost-effective methods of construction ensuring the facades are created with the upmost speed and accuracy.

Key Benefits

The benefits of light steel infill walls are:

  • Rapid installation allows other activities within the building to proceed much earlier than would be possible with block-work infill walls

  • The contractions process is ‘dry’ so that shrinkage and other drying-out problems are eliminated.

  • Design flexibility: tall walls up to 5m can be readily achieved.

  • Large windows, parapets and other architectural features can be incorporated within light steel infill walls
